“Well someone’s going to have to go” – Pundit predicts exit at Spurs

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has claimed that Jose Mourinho could allow Davinson Sanchez to leave the club.

Sanchez moved to North London from Ajax in 2017 for a then club record fee of £42million which eclipsed the £30million which Spurs paid Newcastle United to land Moussa Sissoko (BBC).

Tottenham’s defensive woes have continued under Mourinho with both of Norwich’s goals in the 2-2 draw at Carrow Road coming from mistakes.

Bent highlighted the fact that Mourinho once tried to target him during his time at Manchester United during the Europa Cup final against Ajax in 2017 (Daily Mail).

The pundit also claimed during an appearance on talkSPORT that Juan Foyth could also be on the chopping block.

“Well someone’s going to have to go,” Bent said on talkSPORT as quoted by The Express.

“Obviously Foyth hasn’t really played too much, that’s a position there.

“You have to say he doesn’t really fancy Davinson Sanchez.

“I think when he was at United and they played against Ajax I think it was, he even targeted letting Sanchez have the ball, now he’s in charge of him.

“So I think obviously that’s another area.”
