Wenger hits back at Clive Allen

Arsene Wenger has hit back at Spurs coach Clive Allen by pointing out that there is no rule stipulating that he has to shake hands with every member of an opposing coaching staff.

“I shook the hand of the manager and the assistant manager,” he said.

“How many hands do I have to shake? Is there a prescription?

“No words were exchanged and if the story of the game is Clive Allen, you must ask him. He wanted to make himself the story, yes.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Wenger's arrogance has finally caught up with him. He feels he is too important to shake hands with such a low ranking member of Spurs' coaching staff which indicated perfectly his arrogance.
His perpetual rose tinted slant on every decision has itself become a cliché. Ekotto apparently 'Pushed heavily' Sagna who fell unfortinately. Van der Vaart 'Should have been sent off' ???? etc etc etc.
Trouble is that his minset has permeated the playing side to the point that nobody really wants to be involved with Arsenal at the moment. Star player are queuing to leave and the trademark self belief the side once has has been replaced with trepidation and doubts. This all stems from the, once brilliant, manager who simply cannot adapt to accommodate the arrival of bigger fish in the Premiership and the need to insert some steel (preferably British) into the spine.
As a Spurs fan, of course, I'm enjoying the discomfort. Truth is Arsenal aren't a bad side, they are just not receiving the leadership on and off the pitch that they need.

  2. Arsenal have over the years been the dirtiest bunch of cunts on a football pitch, just remember Viera. Wenger is most likely a French queer who happened to be in the right place at the right moment . Now time has caught up weith him and his favourite queers have deserted him then he has to show he is the bizz and he ain't!!!!!!! Big mistakre in letting his Spanish queer go with the other queer, he should have done what we did with that horrible little weasal fuck head from Croazia.

  3. The man held out his hand to Wenger, it is sheer disrespect to ignore him and arrogance to try make an excuse why he did not. Sore sore loser!!
