“We’re back” – Some fans on Spurs’ first half performance against Crystal Palace

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media with their thoughts on the first-half performance they have witnessed against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The first opportunity of the match fell to the visitors within the opening minute when the ball arrived at the feet of Jordan Ayew, who could only hit his shot over from the edge of the penalty area.

Tottenham had struggled to get their attacking football flowing in the final third of the pitch during the first and their first clear cut chance came when Sergio Reguilon’s cross was met from close range by the head of Lucas Moura, only for the Brazilian to see his effort go the wrong side of the post.

The home side came into life just after the half hour mark when Harry Kane fired home a Lucas Moura cross and the Brazilian found himself on the scoresheet just a matter of minutes later when he powered home a header.

Palace were reduced to ten men on 37 minutes after Wilfried Zaha picked up his second booking.

Here is a selection of reaction from some fellow Spurs fans on the opening forty-five minutes of Boxing Day action in North London.
