Harry Redknapp admits that Tottenham are struggling for fit defenders as they enter the business end of the season.

Vedran Corluka and Sebastien Bassong both picked up ankle injuries in the 3-1 win against Fulham and Wednesday night.  Ledley King is progressing well from his thigh injury, but won’t be fit for Saturday’s game against Portsmouth.

“We’re desperately short on defenders, that is our problem,” said Redknapp.

  1. Dervite should be introduced and big Tom and Kaboul can play in defense. It was great to have Tom back is passing was sublime simple but effective and helped to keep the game flowing Palacios and Moderic plus Kranjcar failed to do in the first half. Great comeback by the lads and its funny Harry gets it right wen he is forced to make subs either by injury's or bad performances .Lets hope Cappelow was watching Big Tom if you watch the game he did a lot of good things to keep Fulham at bay and i think we could win the world cup if he goes .
