Dejan Kulusevski says that he and his Tottenham teammates are happy to have Dane Scarlett back from his loan spell at Ipswich Town.
Tottenham decided to prematurely end Scarlett’s loan spell at Portman Road Stadium after the striker was unable to get any starts for the Championship outfit in the first half of the campaign.
The 19-year-old will remain at Hotspur Way for the rest of the season as rules do not allow players to play for three different clubs in the same campaign (Football.London).
With Son Heung-min having departed for the Asian Cup, the teenager’s return gives Ange Postecoglou another body up front and the Australian has challenged the striker to show what he can do in training and grab any opportunities that come his way (Football.London).
Kulusevski is happy to have Dane Scarlett back
In addition to having Scarlett back, Tottenham also welcomed back Ryan Sessegnon, who came on in the latter stages of the FA Cup third-round clash against Burnley, while Micky van de Ven was also named in the matchday squad against the Clarets.
Kulusevski told the club’s official website about those returnees: “We’re happy that players are coming back. Micky’s coming back, Sess is back and playing well, the youngsters came in, Dane (Scarlett) is back (from his loan at Ipswich), and we’re happy to have him back.”

Manor Solomon is also seemingly close to a return while the addition of Timo Werner gives Postecoglou another top-quality option. The 58-year-old will hope that he has enough bodies upfront to get him through the next few matches before Son returns from the Asian Cup.
