“We’re never at home” – Some fans react to Spurs’ Carabao Cup third round draw

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to the third round draw of the Carabao Cup which has taken place this evening.

Tottenham enter the tournament at the third round stage due to their involvement in European competition and saw their ball number 24 come out of the hat to be drawn against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The tie will mark a second return to Molineux for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in a matter of weeks, having beaten Wolves 1-0 in the Premier League on Sunday.

Supporters will be looking for Nuno side to go one further than they did last season, having suffered a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the final at Wembley to prolong the thirteen-year wait for a trophy.

Third-round ties will take place during the week commencing September 20.

The Carabao Cup semi-finals will return to being two-legged affairs, after the EFL chose to make last years semi-finals only one leg due to the COVID-19 fixture congestion.

Matches which end in a draw after 90 minutes in the opening rounds of the competition will continue to go straight to a penalty shoot-out.

Here is what some of the North London faithful have had to say about the draw.
