West Ham chairman David Sullivan has claimed there could be riots if Tottenham Hotspur relocate to the Olympic Stadium.

The stadium is located within the West Ham heartland and they are also keen on moving to the venue after the Olympic games take place in 2012.

He said: ‘It would be such a slap in the face to east London. If it happens, there will be real problems that could easily lead to civil unrest.

‘I think there could be riots, such is the ill feeling between West Ham and Spurs and I know the police feel the same.’

Sullivan said: ‘I feel very let down by Tottenham. The way they do business is not right. They pinched Eidur Gudjohnsen off us after we brought him from Barcelona for talks. He just disappeared from the hotel. And the way they unsettled Scott Parker was appalling.

‘Now they want to move into our borough of Newham. How would they like it if we suddenly set up a new home in Haringey. I’m flabbergasted by the cheek of it.’

  1. LMAO… not that I would be happy with a move to the east, but atleast it will give east london something to cheer about.. which would they prefer.. Wednesday night Champions League games or Friday night Championship games? discuss……

  2. STATEMENTS LIKE THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF FOOL HEARTY MR SULLIVAN IS VERY CARELESS WITH HIS MOUTH , HE HAS JUST ONLY TAKEN OVER WEST HAM AND HE IS TRYING TO INCITE TROUBLE BETWEEN THE FANS AS IF THE POLICE HAVE NOT ENOUGH ON THEIR HANDS WITH EVERYDAY CRIME NOW THEY COULD BE DEALING WITH POTENTIAL RIOTING FROM FANS ALL KEYED UP BY MR SULLIVAN SLEEP WELL MR SULLIVAN .

  3. …’Cos West Ham do business is such a ethical and honourable fashion… Like the Tevez / Mascherano affair! How many times have Spurs been fined £millions for breach of rules?…. NEVER! Eidur simply exercised his right to speak to two clubs, and simply chose the better one! It was West Ham who ‘broke’ the Scott Parker story, in a feeble attempt to try and raise the price. If our approach was so ‘illegal’, why have not been reprimanded in any way?

Surely the Olympic Stadium will be much too big for the Championship crowds West Ham will be drawing next season, anyway!?

  4. yes Sullivan you are a fuking c*nt…nobody takes you seriously…you fucking barrow boy..inciting riots is a criminal offence you big mouthed loser ***************************************

  5. Sullivan & co must work on the theory that any news is good publicity. Many of my acquaintances who are also WF fans and the majority other sane people wince when Sullivan,Brady and the big mouthed band start up.Ask any Birmingham fan if they have seen this all before and still ended up with a corrugated iron shed as stand until they could profit from the sale.Lets not forget they still haven’t paid for the club yet and they need the Olympic Stadium not for the club not for the fans but so they can generate vast profit from sale the of the Boleyn property.Neither Birmingham nor Tottenham deem it necessary to ever answer their constant bleating.Don’t let this mob bring this once proud club into their standardless pornographic mire.

  6. as a Spursfan, I still think Sullivan has a point. We shouldn’t leave the north for the east. We belong in North-London and we should stick in north-London!

  7. To be honest, I'd slightly prefer to take the Olympic stadium as it will be a lot easier to get to. Public transport to WHL is a complete nightmare and I can't see things being improved in that respect.
