Tottenham close to agreeing late transfer with West Ham for £12.5m title-winner

A Tottenham Hotspur player is now on the verge of joining West Ham United in the final days of the January window.

Thomas Frank has asserted that there will be no more exits from Spurs before the February 2 transfer deadline. The Dane pointed out that the Lilywhites are short of first-team players at the moment due to their injury situation.

Tottenham are set to be without at least 12 players for the game against Eintracht Frankfurt, while Pedro Porro and Micky Van de Ven were also missing from training today.

However, one player, who has only featured twice this season, is now reportedly set to exit Hotspur Way to join one of the Lilywhites’ fierce rivals.

Tottenham man is edging closer to West Ham transfer

It emerged a couple of days ago that Spurs and West Ham were in talks with a strange swap loan deal, which would see their two backup goalkeepers, Antonin Kinsky and Mads Hermansen, temporarily swap clubs until the end of the season.

It has now been revealed by a journalist Matteo Moretto that Kinsky is indeed on the verge of moving to the London Stadium.

The Marca reporter explained that the Hammers are closing in on signing the Czech goalkeeper on loan with an option to buy in the summer.

Spurs fans will be scratching their head at Kinsky report

One would think that Tottenham would not allow the former Slavia Prague goalkeeper to leave without bringing in a replacement, as that would leave the Lilywhites with just Brandon Austin as Guglielmo Vicario’s understudy.

Many Spurs fans may also be surprised by the fact that the club are reportedly willing to offer West Ham an option to buy Kinsky. Tottenham signed Kinsky from Slavia Prague for £12.5m in 2025, where he won the Czech First League.

It was claimed a few months ago that Kinsky has not impressed the Tottenham staff in training, and this latest transfer update suggests that that is indeed the case.
