Tottenham were at their stellar best in the first half against Burnley as they lead 3-0 at the interval.

Spurs haven’t started their matches on the front foot in recent games and new Spurs boss Jose Mourinho expressed his concern about the team’s lack of intensity during the first 30 minutes of games.

It looks like the Portuguese manager’s words certainly had an effect on the players as Tottenham pressed their opponents high up from the start and got in their faces.

They were rewarded for their quick start as brilliant strike from Harry Kane and tap in from Lucas Moura put them 2-0 up with in the first 10 minutes.

However, the goal of the game and potentially of the season was scored by Son Heung-min who dribbled past half the Burnley team before finishing expertly past Nick Pope.

We haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet since Jose Mourinho took over and so it is important that we don’t concede in the second half. If we keep things tight at the back, we will no doubt have more opportunities to extend the lead even further with our fire power upfront.
