‘What a lovely person’ – John Stones admits that he ‘loves’ one Spurs star

John Stones has admitted that he adores Son Heung-min after getting to know the Tottenham star personally over the years.

Son is widely thought of as one of the best forwards in the Premier League, with the 31-year-old managing to stay incredibly consistent over the years.

What makes the South Korean particularly popular is the fact that he always plays with a smile on his face and comes across as extremely humble despite his world-class talent.

Stones has certainly been on the receiving end of Son’s brilliance on the pitch several times over the years, with Manchester City being one of the Spurs star’s favourite opponents.

However, despite this, the England international seemingly only has love and appreciation for the forward after getting to know him off the pitch through his friends at Tottenham.

Heung-min Son is loved outside of Tottenham too

The centre-back remarked that there is no one quite like Son in the Premier League at the moment.

Stones said (via Sports Bible): “I love Sonny. I think he’s so good. I got to know him through my friends at Tottenham, through Eric Dier. After matches, I got to know what a good guy he is, what a lovely person and good heart.

“We’ve swapped shirts quite a few times. I think he is a player who brings a lot to the Premier League and Tottenham, playing against him and knowing how good he is, I don’t think there’s anyone else like him.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I have not come across a single instance of any player (be it a teammate or an opposition player) saying anything but positive things about Sonny. One can easily make the case that the 31-year-old is the most loved player to ever play in the Premier League.
