“What a man” – Some Spurs fans praise player after win against Brighton

Tottenham produced a fantastic turnaround in the second half to come back from 1-0 down to overcome Brighton 2-1. Spurs started the game slowly once again and failed to create many meaningful chances in the first half.

The away side went into the break deservedly ahead but Spurs came out in the second half with much more intensity and pressed Brighton high up the pitch.

They soon got their reward as Harry Kane equalized on the rebound in the 52nd minute after seeing his initial shot saved by Matt Ryan.

Mourinho then introduced Christian Eriksen and Giovani Lo Celso early in the second half and both players provided much more of an attacking edge to the Spurs attack.

The Lilywhites fashioned several chances in the final half an hour of the game and eventually got the winner through a sublime finish by Dele Alli.

Some Spurs on social media hailed the changes made by Mourinho in the second half and also raved about the effort that Kane put in particularly in the last twenty minutes.

Spurs Web Opinion

While there are a lot of things we can nitpick with this performance, one thing that was clear for all to see was the spirit that the players showed particularly in the second half. They were willing to run back and put their bodies on the line in order to see through the win. That is something that we didn’t always see under Pochettino.
