What did Pochettino say to Torreira after putting his arm around him in the tunnel?

Tottenham Hotspur ended their 29 game run without a draw today against Arsenal, but it may feel like a win for fans with all things considered.

Spurs bossed possession but Arsenal edged it in terms of opportunities in an exciting tie in which both teams were actively trying to win the game.

Arsenal went ahead early in the first half after a Davinson Sanchez mistake allowed Aaron Ramsey to be rolled through on goal.

Spurs then set about getting a foothold back in the game, but failed to create many clear cut chances, and the couple they did have were saved expertly by Leno.

It eventually took Harry Kane from the penalty spot to draw Tottenham level in the match, after the striker was pushed to the ground in the box.

The drama wasn’t over there though, as Sanchez then gave a penalty back to the Gunners, with Hugo Lloris saving Aubameyang’s shot.

Lucas Torreira was then shown red for a studs up challenge on Danny Rose.

Pochettino was seen with his arm around the Uruguayan in the tunnel (Football London): “But that is private. It’s true that what happens on the pitch is on the pitch and that was in the tunnel, but it was just in Spanish, he is Uruguayan and I am Argentino. I was only saying hello and how are you. Nothing too much.”

On whether it was in fact a red, Poch said: “I cannot say, but I didn’t see. In that moment I cannot say it was fair or not fair because I haven’t watched it yet. I try to talked with him because he was talking with the fourth official and I said ‘Hi, how are you’ because I said hello a few times.”
