What do Tottenham need against Everton to secure a top four spot?

Tottenham Hotspur not only failed to secure a top-four spot today, but they self-destructed away to Bournemouth in the Premier League.

After dominating the early chances, Heung Min Son was shown a straight red just before half time after lashing out at Lerma.

10 men became nine early on in the second half as Juan Foyth was also shown a straight red for a studs-up challenge, despite only having been on the pitch for a matter of minutes.

Tottenham ran themselves into the ground to fight for a vital away point in the race for the top four, but an injury-time header from Nathan Ake left them with nothing.

So, what do Tottenham need to secure a top-four spot and Champions League next season?

Spurs face Everton at home on the final day, and luckily, their fate is still in their own hands regarding the top four.

A win, providing the goal difference gap remains the same, would guarantee Champions League football next season.

However, if Tottenham’s rivals all win their final two matches, three points against Everton will be the only way Spurs can achieve their goal.

Pochettino will now have to hope for rivals to slip up yet again, as well as a fantastic last-day performance against the Toffees.
