What Eddie Howe had to say about Tottenham’s title chances

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that he has no doubt that Tottenham Hotspur are contenders for the Premier League title.

Speaking after the Cherries were thrashed 5-0 at Wembley, Howe spoke in glowing terms about Tottenham’s attacking players.

When asked if Tottenham are title contenders during a post-match interview with Sky Sports, Howe replied:

“Without a doubt. They’ve got the forward players and the creative players that can cause anyone problems.”

“They are in great form and are very clinical – we had equally good chances but didn’t take them.”

The result sees Tottenham move up to second place in the table following Man City’s 2-1 loss away at Leicester. Spurs are now six points off Ligue leaders Liverpool, who also enjoyed a comfortable home victory against Newcastle.

Howe is one of the bookies’ favorites to take over at Spurs if the rumours linking Pochettino with the vacancy at Man Utd come into fruition.

However, if Tottenham maintain this form, there is absolutely no way the Argentine will leave the club without finishing the job he started and guiding Tottenham to trophy successes.

After scoring 11 goals in 2 games within a space of 3 days, Spurs fans will believe that their team can push Liverpool all the way until the end.
