Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to the team selection for this afternoon’s match against Manchester United.
Tottenham are seeking a league double over Manchester United for the first time since the 1989-90 season, following their 6-1 thrashing of the former Premier League champions at Old Trafford earlier this season.
Manchester United’s only victory in their past eight league visits to Spurs came at Wembley in January 2019 (D4, L3).
United are on a club record run of 22 away league games unbeaten (W14, D8). It’s the third longest away run in English top-flight history, bettered only by Arsenal’s unbeaten streaks of 23 and 27 early this century.
Jose Mourinho has given Eric Dier a first Premier League start since the West Ham defeat and partners Joe Rodon, while Serge Aurier comes back in at right-back. Heung-min Son is also fit enough to be included in the starting eleven following his recent hamstring issues.
