Following his emotional return to Tottenham, Heung-min Son has now shared the emotions he felt when he took to the pitch on Tuesday night.
Thomas Frank’s Tottenham side made sure to give former club captain and legend Heung-min Son a proper farewell on Tuesday night in the Champions League.
The Korean star took to the pitch ahead of Spurs’ matchday six league phase encounter against Slavia Prague to address the Tottenham faithful for the first time since his emotional press conference during the summer in Asia.
An energised Spurs side then took to the field and secured an emphatic 3-0 win over the Czech side as they look to close in on a top-eight finish.

What Heung-min Son told Korean media about Tottenham return
Son is no stranger to playing under the lights in the Champions League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, given some of his iconic moments in a Spurs shirt, particularly in 2019 against Manchester City.
He will have been pleased with the performance and the reception from a packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Speaking to Korean media, Son reflected on the welcome he received and the emotions of setting foot back in the stadium that shaped so much of his career.
“Happy to be back in a place where I spent my youth and is like a home. I am so grateful that so many fans welcomed me and cheered for me. It was a little hard because the flight was longer than I thought but I had a really happy day. Thank you so much.”
Why Spurs fans still hold Son in legendary status
Heung-min Son’s legacy at Tottenham is truly remarkable, given how much he achieved on the pitch for the Lilywhites.
The former Spurs man ended the club’s over a decade-long wait for silverware last season, helping them win the Europa League.
He also has himself high up the list of the club’s all-time top scorers, ranking fifth while being the player with the most assists for Tottenham, and Spurs fans will forever be grateful for all he gave to their club.
