What Mourinho is said to have shouted at Spurs star following Burnley win

Jose Mourinho would have been left extremely pleased with Tottenham’s display against Burnley on Saturday as the home side brushed the Clarets away with consummate ease.

The game ended 5-0 to the Lilywhites in what was the team’s first clean sheet since the new head pach arrived at the club last month.

There were several impressive performances from the Spurs squad throughout the pitch but unsurprisingly, Mourinho reserved special praise for Son Heung-min for his display and wondergoal in the post-match press conference (Football.London).

The 27-year-old was simply unplayable on the day and was a constant menace for the Burnley defence every time he got on the ball.

It has been revealed that the Spurs head coach interrupted Son’s interview following the game by shouting something in the background.

“Ps. While the interview was happening, Jose Mourinho was shouting in the background for Son to be given the Man of the Match,” as quoted by BBC Sport.

Whilst South Korean was discussing his with the media, Mourinho was apparently yelling for his player to be handed the man of the match award.

Spurs Web Opinion

Mourinho has been on a big charm offensive since taking over as Spurs head coach and it seems to be working. Both the players and fans already seem to be in love with the new Spurs boss. Hopefully, this new calmer and jovial version of Mourinho lasts and the bitter, angry person that we saw towards the end of his time at Manchester United doesn’t rear his ugly head anytime soon.
