What some of the Spurs players said on Twitter after Chelsea demolition

Some of the Tottenham Hotspur players took to Twitter on Saturday evening following the humiliation of Chelsea.

An emphatic 3-1 win from Mauricio Pochettino’s side moved them up to third in the Premier League table at the expense of the blues, who have suffered their first league defeat of the campaign.

Spurs got their rewards for their early pressure by scoring two goals in the first sixteen minutes through Dele Alli’s header from Christian Eriksen’s pinpoint cross, and Harry Kane silencing his doubters with a goal from outside of the penalty area.

Heung-min Son rubbed salt into the Chelsea wounds by scoring what can only be considered as a goal of the season contender after picking the ball up just yards into the opposition area and producing a stunning solo run to further extend the advantage.

Oliver Giroud scored a late consolation goal, but it was Tottenham’s night under the lights at Wembley. Here’s a selection of Tweets from the players.
