What some of the Spurs players said on Twitter after the win against Southampton

Some of the Tottenham Hotspur players have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts following last night’s 3-1 win against Southampton.

It was important that Mauricio Pochettino’s side bounced back from the North London derby disappointment at the hands of rivals Arsenal and they did courtesy of goals from Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son.

Arsenal and Chelsea both failed to win their respective games against Manchester United and Wolverhampton which proved to be enough for Spurs to leapfrog the pair into third place in the table.

The only blotch on the copybook last night at Wembley was the late Charlie Austin goal which robbed Hugo Lloris of a clean sheet. The Spurs skipper was in inspired form, producing a string of stunning saves to keep his side ahead in the match.

With the race for a top four finish looking ever increasingly tight this season, Spurs must next go to Leicester City on Saturday where again, nothing less than three points will do.

Here’s a selection of reaction from the Spurs players.
