A new report has shed light on Souza’s stance regarding a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.
The Lilywhites have seemingly identified the 19-year-old as their top left-back target and are now pushing aggressively to land him.
A few days ago, Tottenham had an £8m offer for Souza rejected by Santos, who felt that the teenager is more valuable on the back of his contributions last term, which helped them stay clear of relegation.
It has since emerged that Spurs are ready to make an improved offer for Souza, but Thomas Frank’s men face competition for the left-back’s signature from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Souza is open to joining Tottenham this month
Journalist Eduardo Burgos has now taken to social media to reveal that the Santos starlet is ready to join Spurs this month.
He claims that Souza is attracted by the prospect of playing in the Premier League and living in London, while he also likes the project that the Lilywhites have presented to him.
Burgos also confirms that Santos are expected to soon receive a second offer from the North Londoners, which could be worth double their initial offer.
He wrote on X: “Souza is open to signing with Tottenham. He likes the option of playing in the Premier League and living in London, in addition to the sports project they present to him. Santos awaits the new offer. It will be almost double the first one (10M€). Busy days.”
How much do Santos want for Souza?
Various sources have indicated over the last 48 hours that talks between the two clubs are continuing despite the rejected first offer.
This includes an update from TEAMtalk, who claimed that Santos have asked Spurs to pay €20m (£17.3m) for Souza.
However, the publication also revealed that the young full-back is on the radars of BlueCo (Chelsea owners) and City Group (Manchester City owners), as well as several clubs in Spain and Germany.
