What the Tottenham defeat means for PL table, top four race, and remaining fixtures

Tottenham Hotspur came off second best at Old Trafford this evening in a top-four six-pointer, but where does that leave the Premier League table?

Spurs are now seventh in the league and level on points (45) with West Ham United, although the Hammers have played an extra game.

Man United are in fourth now and five points above the two London clubs, although the Red Devils have played 29 compared to Tottenham’s 27 and West Ham’s 28.

However, the clear favourites have to be Arsenal, even though they dropped down to fifth this evening, as they sit on 48 points, two behind Man United. The Gunners have four games in hand of Man United, three on West Ham and two on Tottenham.
