“What the heck” – Some Spurs fans react after Foyth gets his marching orders

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered yet another Premier League defeat after their nine men failed to hold out Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Spurs started the game very well as they fashioned several chances but Mark Travers in the Bournemouth goal has been in remarkable form in what is his first game for the Cherries.

Towards the end of the first half, Son Heung-Min lost his temper and pushed Jefferson Lerma to the floor for which the referee gave the South Korean his marching orders.

Pochettino responded by bringing on Victor Wanyama and Juan Foyth off the bench at half time but the Argentine was also sent off just minutes into the second half for a rash challenge on Jack Simpson, leaving Spurs to endure almost an entire half of football with just 9 men.

Tottenham fans on social media couldn’t believe the fact that Foyth was sent off so soon after his introduction.

Given that Spurs are down to nine men, a point will be an incredible result.

However, they will have to compensate for the lack of two players by covering a lot of ground, which certainly won’t be ideal preparation for the Ajax game in midweek, particularly given the players have shown signs of fatigue recently.
