Some Spurs fans are pleasantly surprised to hear reports that Tottenham are working on a double deal to sign Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik and Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.
Tottenham have already signed five players so far this transfer window in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon.
However, reports indicate that Jose Mourinho still wants to bring in a central defender and a striker before the window closes.
Fabrizio Romano revealed on Tuesday that Spurs were trying to complete deals for both Milik and Skriniar.
Several outlets have since reported the same, with Calcio Mercato revealing that Spurs have sent representatives to Italy to begin negotiations for both players.
Some Tottenham fans on social media have been left wondering what happened to Daniel Levy on the back of the Spurs chairman’s apparent decision to loosen the purse strings.
Here’s how they reacted to reports linking the club with moves for the Napoli and Inter stars:
WHAT the hell has jose done to Levy

If we do end up getting Skriniar and Milik or other centre back and striker options, we are going to have such incredible depth. Something which we have lacked for so many years.

If Levy pulls off Milik and Dias/Skriniar, I don't want anyone complaining about him https://t.co/MZP6eFCOsw

Waking up to loads of reports that we’re in discussions for BOTH Skriniar and Milik. Feels pretty good tbh.#THFC #COYS

If and thats a big if we sign Milik and Skriniar or Dias & Vinicius or a combo of either, challenging for the title is a must.
Another trophyless season would be completely unacceptable and no blame would lie at the feet of Levy for that.

Signing Skriniar and Milik would be massive ???

If Levy pulls off Skriniar (or Dias) and Milik, I’m repping him forever. Big stakes boss, big stakes.

Daniel Levy has had a lot of shit on Twitter from Spurs fans over the years, most of it deserved. But this transfer window has already been a massive success. If we add either Skriniar/Dias at CB and/or Milik, I think everyone will have to applaud the efforts. #COYS

Spurs Web Opinion
There is no doubt that our business so far this window has been excellent but we should not get carried away just yet and wait to see if we can complete deals for both Milik and Skriniar. I believe that Skriniar would be the much more important singing of the two but I doubt we can get deals for both players over the line unless we get a huge cash influx through player sales.
