What time and where to watch: All you need to know about Sporting vs Spurs

Tottenham are set to travel to Portugal this week to take on Sporting Lisbon in their second match of the Champions League group stage.

Tottenham’s trip to Manchester City was called off over the weekend after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, which means Antonio Conte’s men have had almost a full week’s rest ahead of their trip to Sporting following their 2-0 win over Marseille last Wednesday.

There was initially some confusion over whether Spurs’ clash against Sporting would go ahead after the North London club’s website displayed the game as ‘postponed’ but the Lilywhites have since confirmed it was a technical error and the match proceed as planned.

Like Tottenham, Sporting have made a winning start to the Champions League campaign, having brushed aside Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 last week.

They then hammed Portimonense 4-0 in the Primeira Liga on Saturday and Ruben Amorim’s side will thus be coming into the clash against Spurs high on confidence.

Here’s all you need to know about when and how to watch the clash tomorrow evening (via The Sun):

Time: The match is scheduled to kick off early at 5:45 pm UK time at the Estadio Jose Alvalde in Lisbon.

Where to watch: The match will be broadcasted LIVE on BT Sport 4 in the UK with pre-match build-up commencing from 5 pm. Subscription holders of BT Sport can stream the entire action live via the BT Sport website or BT Sport app.

Spurs Web Opinion

Looking at how well Sporting have started, this might well be Tottenham’s toughest game of the group stage. So, picking up three points in Portugal will go long way toward helping Antonio Conte’s men booking their place in the knockout stage of the competition.
