When does the prodical Son return to Tottenham?

Heung-min Son is due to return to the Spurs training ground TODAY, after a testing and busy month with South Korea.

Not only did Sonny take part in his country’s international break games this week, but he also captained them to an Asia Games gold medal!

This achievement means that Son will no longer have to complete his two years military service back in South Korea, which he would have had to start some time before his 28th birthday.

The now 26-year-old played 525 minutes in the Asia Games, followed by 173 extra minutes during the international break.

Son is likely to be excused from the next four South Korea friendlies, after Spurs allowed him to compete in the Asia games, but he is scheduled to take part in the Asian Cup in the UAE in January.

It is likely to be too early for Sonny to start a game, especially one as big as Liverpool, after crossing international borders ten times since the end of last season.

He will, however, provide much needed strength and depth on the bench.

Welcome home, Sonny!
