The Champions League Round of Sixteen draw; when is it held and how to watch

Tottenham Hotspur may have lost last night in the Champions League group stage against Bayern Munich, but they are still in the pot for the round of sixteen.

Spurs booked a guaranteed second place in Group B after defeating Olympiacos 4-2 last month, the third year in a row they have made the knockout rounds.

The last two times Mourinho’s team came second in their group in the competition, he went on to win it with them, which is a nice omen for the Lilywhites.

As they came second in their group, Spurs will be seeded second in the round of sixteen draw. However, they cannot be drawn against any English sides or the top team from their own group, Bayern.

The draw takes place in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday 16th December 2019, starting at 11 am GMT. This can be watched live on BT Sport or via the live stream on the UEFA website.

The two pots are as follows, with the teams Spurs could face in bold:

Barcelona (ESP, Group F)
Bayern Munich (GER, Group B)
Juventus (ITA, Group D)
Liverpool (ENG, Group E)
Manchester City (ENG, Group C)
PSG (FRA, Group A)

Valencia (ESP, Group H)

Not seeded:
