Tottenham Hotspur are about to enter their second competition of the season as the Carabao Cup third round draw commences tonight.

The draw will take place as soon as the match between Lincoln City and Everton finishes, with the third round ties to be played on September 23.

Last season, Spurs made it to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, but fell to their London rivals Chelsea on a penalty shootout.

However, Spurs went on to make the Champions League Final, so I’m sure few fans will hold onto that League Cup semi loss.

The Carabao Cup may be Tottenham’s biggest chance of ending their trophy drought this season, something that Pochettino’s squad desperately need to do. The last trophy Spurs won was the League Cup all the way back in 2008.

Spurs will be number six in tonight’s draw, but what about the other 31 teams?
