When, where and how to watch Chelsea vs Tottenham in the Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur finally get to play their long-delayed fixture against Chelsea this week. Here are all the details on when the game takes place, how to watch Spurs vs Chelsea in action, and which players will be available.

Initially scheduled for February 23rd of this year, Tottenham‘s latest clash with local rivals Chelsea had to be pushed back due to the Blues’ involvement in the Carabao Cup final — a game they ultimately lost to Liverpool.

Ange Postecoglou‘s men go into the game on the back of two straight defeats, after being crushed by Newcastle United a fortnight ago, and coming out on the wrong side of a 3-2 loss against Arsenal in the North London derby this weekend.

Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to be inconsistent, with a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa this weekend following a massive 5-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal in midweek. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are currently 9th in the Premier League.

Spurs vs Chelsea team news

Destiny Udogie, Fraser Forster, Ryan Sessegnon, and Manor Solomon continue to be absent, and will miss the rest of the season for Spurs.

There is a chance Oliver Skipp will be back in time for the game against Chelsea. The academy graduate picked up a knock in training last week and was only expected to miss the one game, against Arsenal. That said, it’s very unlikely he would start the game against Chelsea even if he was fully fit.

Timo Werner is also a huge doubt for the Chelsea game. The German winger pulled his hamstring at the weekend in the North London derby.

Chelsea’s injury list is a long one. Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, and Enzo Fernandez are expected to miss the rest of the season, while the return dates for Robert Sanchez, Thiago Silva, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell, and Malo Gusto are currently unknown.

It is thought the Spurs game will come too early for Lesley Ugochukwu, Reece James, and Raheem Sterling, but Christopher Nkunku and Levi Colwill have a chance of being fit in time for the big match.

The Spurs Web prediction

Simply put, nothing but a win here will do. After losing the last two games, and with City and Liverpool up next, we have to get a result against Chelsea. The thought of getting revenge for that frustrating defeat earlier this season and the fact we’ve got the home crowd behind us should carry the players through. I’ll go for a 2-0 Spurs win.
