After a long break from Ange-ball, Spurs fans will finally get to see their team in action again this weekend. The good news is, there’s a spot in the FA Cup fifth round up for grabs. The bad news is, the Lilywhites need to get past Manchester City first.
When Tottenham and Manchester City have come up against one another in recent years, we’ve been treated to some fantastic battles. Of particular note is the fact that City, despite all their talent and accolades, have still yet to even score at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
So, with cup glory on the line, and another clash between two of the brightest managers in the Premier League, Ange Postecoglou and Pep Guardiola, this upcoming game is one that no one will want to miss.

Spurs vs Manchester City team news
Spurs will be without Yves Bissouma, Pape Sarr, and Heung-min Son, with all three on international duty at AFCON and the Asia Cup. It’s safe to say City will be pleased not to see the Tottenham skipper, too, with Son having scored against them regularly in the past.
There is a slight chance James Maddison will be back in action for Tottenham, with the playmaker having been in training this week, though it may still be too soon for his return. Manor Solomon, too, could be back, but it is unclear at this stage.
Ryan Sessegnon, Giovani Lo Celso, Alejo Veliz, and Ben Davies are all likely to be out until February. Meanwhile, the status of Dane Scarlett is unknown right now.
As for City, the main boost for them will be that Erling Haaland has been training again this week. Whether the prolific striker will be available from the start remains to be seen, but don’t be surprised to see him feature at some point.
However, Guardiola could be without a number of other key players such as Ederson, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji for the game.
The Spurs Web prediction
This is such a tough one to call. I have a feeling City will finally get their goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but hopefully we’ve got enough to maintain that unbeaten record at least. If I’m being optimistic, I will say: 2-1 to Spurs.
