When, where, and how to watch Spurs vs Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action this weekend with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, and here’s how you can catch the game, as well as all the latest team news.

By the time Spurs kick off against Manchester United this weekend, Ange Postecoglou‘s side will have enjoyed a nine-day break since their last fixture, an FA Cup third round win over Burnley.

In that time, the club has acquired two new signings in the form of Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin, and all eyes will be on the Lilywhites to see whether the latest additions make the squad.

Meanwhile, Manchester United also enjoyed success in the FA Cup, but will be keen to get back to winning ways in the league, after falling to defeat against Nottingham Forest last time out in the Premier League.

When and where is the Manchester United vs Spurs game?

Tottenham Hotspur will play Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday January 14, with a 4:30pm kick-off time.

How to watch Manchester United vs Spurs

Sky Sports customers will be able to watch the game live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event.

Coverage will begin straight after the Everton vs Aston Villa game, with pre-match discussion ahead of the 4:30pm kick-off.

Manchester United vs Spurs team news

One of the big stories for Tottenham is the possible return of both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero to the heart of the defence. Both players have been out of action with hamstring issues, but the former is almost certainly ready to go, while Romero is pushing to be involved.

That could spell bad news for newcomer, Radu Dragusin, who would have been hoping to start the game and make his Spurs debut. Either way, it’s good news for Spurs fans and for Ange Postecoglou, with squad depth finally returning to an injury-ravaged squad.

Speaking of injuries, Ben Davies is out with a hamstring concern, while James Maddison and Manor Solomon are not quite ready to make their comebacks. Giovani Lo Celso is the latest to be added to the list of absentees, though this is thought to be precautionary more than anything serious.

Heung-min Son, Yves Bissouma, and Pape Sarr are all away on international duty and will not be available for the game.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag also expects to have several players back in action this weekend, with the likes of Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire in contention for a return. However, it is thought Mason Mount, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, and Lisandro Martinez are still not ready.

Amad Diallo and former Spurs man, Cristian Eriksen, missed the FA Cup clash with Wigan Athletic through illness and it is not known whether they will recover in time for Sunday. Meanwhile United will be without Sofyan Amrabat, who is at the African Cup of Nations.

The Spurs Web prediction

It’s hard to know what to expect from Manchester United right now, and they will be desperate to put things right in front of the home crowd after a recent run of poor results. However, Spurs will be boosted by big players coming back, and will definitely make things difficult for the Red Devils.

This will be an interesting contest, and one I can see ending with a share in the spoils. 2-2
