Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to regain their place in the top four at the weekend, as they take on Brighton and Hove Albion. Here are all the details you need to know about the upcoming fixture, including a look at Spurs’ injury list.
After a resilient performance and a valuable 3-2 win over Brentford in midweek last week, Ange Postecoglou‘s side found themselves in fourth place in the Premier League, and had a chance to solidify that position with the early kick-off against Everton on Saturday.
However, despite two excellent goals from Richarlison, Spurs were unable to hold on to their lead and came away from Goodison Park with a point after conceding an injury-time equaliser.
Meanwhile, there have been goals aplenty at both ends for Brighton of late. A 4-0 defeat at Luton in midweek was followed up by a 4-1 home win over rivals Crystal Palace at the weekend, leaving the Seagulls in eighth place in the league.

Spurs vs Brighton team news
Tottenham will be boosted by the fact that Yves Bissouma has returned from the African Cup of Nations after Mali were eliminated, and there’s a good chance the midfielder will be ready to start for Spurs.
Unfortunately, Heung-min Son will likely not be available, even if South Korea lose in the Asian Cup semi-final against Jordan tomorrow. If they win, Son will have a final to look forward to, and if they lose, he will still have a third-place play-off to deal with.
As for injuries, Tottenham will be hoping Giovani Lo Celso is recovered in time for the game on Saturday, but it will be touch and go and we’d expect the Argentine to be on the bench at the very best. Ryan Sessegnon will not be fit for the game, and Manor Solomon’s return is still unknown.
Brighton have a number of key players missing at present, with James Milner, Joel Veltman, and Julio Enciso all ruled out for the best part of February. Solly March is sidelined long-term and might not even play again this season, while Simon Adingra is away on international duty with the Ivory Coast.
The Spurs Web prediction
This will be a really tough game, and it’s not been easy to know what kind of Brighton performance you’re going to get this season so it’s even more difficult to predict. Hopefully, home advantage can sway this one for us, but it will be very tight. I’ll go for a 2-1 Spurs win.
