‘Where are you’ – Joe Hart sends loving message to player who left Spurs this year

Going by Joe Hart’s latest social media activity, it would appear that the goalkeeper is missing his former Tottenham teammate Carlos Vinicius.

Vinicius largely had to be content with starts in cup competitions and the Europa League rather than in the Premier League during his loan spell at Spurs last season.

While the striker managed a decent return of 10 goals despite his limited opportunities last season, he did not do enough to convince Spurs to take up the £36m option to sign him permanently.

Reports indicate that Fabio Paratici is now on the lookout for a new centre-forward to serve as Harry Kane’s backup next season.

Vinicius is now preparing for the new season with Benfica, after having previously finished as the top scorer in the Primeira Liga in the 2019/20 campaign with 24 goals.

When Hart posted a picture of himself training at Hotspur Way, the Brazilian commented ‘Big big Joe’, prompting the 34-year-old to respond: ‘Where are you Vinnyyy Boy’.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Vinicius did not show enough last season to suggest that he is good enough for us, his effort and attitude certainly cannot be faulted. He certainly gave his all when called upon and going by how well he did in the Europa League, he is certainly capable of bossing it for Benfica again in the Primeira Liga next season.
