Where do Tottenham now sit in Group B in the Champions League

What a night of embarrassment for Tottenham Hotspur and their manager, Mauricio Pochettino, as the team well and truly capitulated against Bayern Munich.

Spurs went 1-0 up and looked good for the first half an hour at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, but somehow not only threw away their lead, but their dignity too.

Bayern ending up running riot and scoring seven at the new White Hart Lane, against Spurs’ measly two.

Tottenham are now without a win in three Champions League matches, including this defeat, a draw away to Olympiacos, and the final defeat to Liverpool in June.

However, Spurs are by no means out of the group after two games, in fact, they have more points now than they did at this stage last season.

Thanks to a Red Star Belgrade win at home to Olympiacos, Spurs are still third in Group B, and just two points behind the former.

Bayern lead on six points, followed by Red Star on three, and Spurs and Olympiacos both on one.

A big four games are needed from Spurs, but qualification is still a real possibility.
