Tottenham Hotspur have now gone well over a year without buying a single new player, becoming the first Premier League team in history to go two consecutive windows with adding to their squad.

The last signing came way back in January 2018 when Lucas Moura joined from PSG.

Spurs have, however, recent announced the opening date for their extremely expensive and state-of-the-art new stadium.

Many Spurs fans may feel hard done by that owner Joe Lewis has not invested more into the transfer budget, and doesn’t actually make a regular appearance in the country, yet alone the stadium.

There is a total of 106 sports teams across the globe that are worth $1 billion or over. Despite this, not every owner is a billionaire themselves.

Forbes found that five of the 20 current Premier League club owners feature in the 20 richest club owners in the world (talkSPORT).

But where does Joe Lewis rank on this list, and how much is he worth?

Lewis comes in at joint 18th on the list, and has a net worth of around £3.77 billion.
