Which Tottenham players trained ahead of AZ Alkmaar – Defender absent from session

The Tottenham Hotspur players have been training today ahead of Thursday’s all-important Europa League tie against AZ Alkmaar.

Following the first leg in which Tottenham suffered a 1-0 defeat to AZ Alkmaar, the North Londoners go into the return fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium needing to overturn a one-goal deficit to keep alive their hopes of progressing to the next round.

It was a poor performance in the Netherlands which left Heung-min Son describing the performance as poor and a wake-up call ahead of the second leg.

Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth was also a sub-par performance leaving the pressure firmly on Ange Postecoglou to beat AZ, or potentially face an uncertain future over his role at the club.
