Who can Tottenham get in the Champions League draw on Thursday?

Tottenham Hotspur are now just days away from finding out who they will get in the Champions League group stages this season.

Last time out, it was a less than favourable draw for the North London side, as they were handed a group with Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSV.

This time around, Pochettino may be hoping to avoid the group of death, especially when considering the fact that Spurs have not started the new season well at all.

The draw takes place in Monaco at 5 pm on Thursday, with Spurs going into pot two. Let’s take a look at who Tottenham could face come the group stage (Telegraph):

With Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man City all in pot one, there are not many teams left for Tottenham to draw from.

This means that Spurs are guaranteed a group with either Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich, PSG, or Zenit St Petersberg.

Luckily, being in pot two, Spurs do miss the likes of Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, and Napoli in the draw.

The pots may change slightly as the qualifiers are not yet complete, but Spurs will currently be choosing from Lyon, Bayern Leverkusen, Salzburg, Valencia, and Inter Milan in pot three.

Pot four currently consists of Lokomotiv Moskva, Genk, Galatasaray, RB Leipzig, Atlanta, and Lille.

The final pots will be known after the qualifying matches on Wednesday night.

The current qualifier results after the first leg are:

Olympiacos 4 Krasnodar 0
Young Boys 2 Red Star Belgrade 2
Dinamo Zagreb 2 Rosenborg 0
LASK 0 Club Brugge 1
APOEL 0 Ajax 0
Cluj 0 Slavia Prague 1.
