Who heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua has backed for the Champions League final

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are just three days away from finding out exactly who will lift the Champions League trophy this season.

It represents Spurs’ first ever CL final, while the Reds are competing in their second in the space of just two seasons.

Both Premier League clubs climbed mountains to book their places in Madrid, overcoming semi-final 3-0 deficits against Ajax and Barcelona.

Liverpool lost their first leg at the Nou Camp 3-0, but battered Barca 4-0 at Anfield to qualify for the June 1 clash.

Spurs meanwhile flipped a 3-0 aggregate scoreline on its head in just the final 45 minutes against Ajax in Amsterdam, with a Lucas Moura hat-trick seeing them reach the final.

So, who better to pick the overall champ than the heavyweight champ himself? Well, actually, Anthony Joshua may be one of the worst qualified people to ask for a prediction for the CL final.

Joshua admitted to the media that he only really watches boxing, but when pushed for an answer he stuck to his London loyalties.

He said (talkSPORT): “I don’t really watch soccer, you know. I don’t even really watch sport, believe it or not. Boxing’s the only sport I really watch.

After being pushed, he added: “Tottenham, London.”
