Who Spurs will face in the Europa League group stages

Tottenham Hotspur have this afternoon discovered who they will face in the group stages of the Europa League.

The draw of 48 clubs took place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland with Tottenham having been allocated a place in Pot 1 as a seeded team.

There will be seedings and country protection, meaning Premier League clubs will not be drawn together in the same group, meaning Spurs could not be drawn with North London rivals Arsenal or Leicester City.

Spurs were drawn in Group J along with PFC Ludogorets of Bulgaria, LASK of Austria and Royal Antwerp of Belgium.

Group stage matches will be played on the following dates

Matchday 1: 22 October
Matchday 2: 29 October
Matchday 3: 5 November
Matchday 4: 26 November
Matchday 5: 3 December
Matchday 6: 10 December

It will be revealed later tonight in which order the fixtures will take place.

The final for the 2020/21 Europa League is set to be held at the Stadion Energa Gdansk in Poland on May 26.
