Who was in Tottenham’s first ever Premier League line-up of the decade?

Tottenham Hotspur are closing the decade with one of the very best teams in the Premier League and Europe after making the Champions League Final in 2019.

They have the likes of Harry Kane, Heung Min Son, Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld, and more in their starting line-up, but how did they look at the start of the decade?

Spurs played out a 0-0 draw against Hull City back in 2010, with the point leaving a Harry Redknapp Spurs hanging onto their spot in the top four.

Heurelho Gomes was named in goal on the day, with a back four of Gareth Bale, Michael Dawson, Sebastien Bassong, and Vedran Corluka. If only we had known what a player Bale would become back then!

The midfield four was made up of Tom Huddlestone and Wilson Palacios in holding roles, with Luka Modric and Nico Kranjcar further forward on the flanks. Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe led the line.

It’s fair to say that Spurs have a far better all-round team these days…
