Why Burnley could be the biggest game of the season for this man

Tottenham Hotspur take on Burnley today, following their heroic efforts in Barcelona on Tuesday night.

The Premier League fixture represents a chance to make up group on Liverpool and City for Spurs, but it also offers up a chance at redemption for one Tottenham player.

Due to injuries to Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier, Kyle Walker-Peters was thrown in at the deep end in the Champions League at the Nou Camp in midweek.

Unfortunately the young academy graduate found it tricky to settle into the game, giving away the ball on halfway to Barca’s Dembele with just seven minutes on the clock.

Dembele would then burst away from KWP and slot past Lloris, a mistake Tottenham very nearly never made it back from.

Walker-Peters went on to have a decent game after the first 10-15 minutes, but only the mistake will be remembered by most.

With Tripps and Aurier most likely unable to start against Burnley, KWP may be offered a chance at redemption within days of his error.

Poch is not one to blame youth for making mistakes so early in their career, or any of his players for that matter.

However, Walker-Peters has been extremely limited for game time this season, and if the two first choice right backs make it back soon, this could even be his final Prem game of the season.

Here’s hoping that he takes it by the scruff of the neck and delivers a man of the match performance!
