With Richarlison and Dominic Solanke both out injured for Tottenham and Will Lankshear out on loan, Ange Postecoglou may have to use Dane Scarlett over the coming weeks. However, the academy graduate is unavailable for Spurs vs Aston Villa in the FA Cup.

Tottenham Hotspur prepare for a trip to Villa Park
After crashing out of the Carabao Cup on Thursday, Tottenham Hotspur are now gearing up for a trip to Villa Park in the FA Cup fourth round.
The N17 club are very much aware that a victory in this game will see them progress to the next round as there are no replays any longer in the FA Cup competition.
In their last FA Cup game, Spurs did manage to overcome Tamworth 3-0 at the Lamb Ground Stadium in extra time.
Ahead of the clash against Villa, the north London club are still managing an injury crisis as eleven players are set to miss out. The latest to join this list is Richarlison who picked up a calf injury in the Carabao Cup semi-final clash.

Why Dane Scarlett cannot play in the FA Cup for Tottenham
Without a doubt, manager Ange Postecoglou needs all the help he can get and his players dropping like files is doing anything but helping.
He has now been handed another selection blow, as his young forward, Dane Scarlett will not be eligible to feature in this cup tie for Tottenham Hotspur.
The 20-year-old forward cannot play in this clash because he is cup-tied after already having featured in the FA Cup for Oxford United in the 3rd round against Exeter City when he was on loan.

What forward options are available to Ange Postecoglou?
With Richarlison injured and Dane Scarlett cup-tied, Ange Postecoglou is left with new signing Mathys Tel as his starting number-nine for this game.
Youngster Damola Ajayi, who scored in his debut against IF Elfsborg, is another recognised forward Postecoglou can call on for extra support on the wings.
Heung-min Son can also play as a nine, however, his performance as a striker is less than convincing. The manager will be desperately hoping that no other forward player picks up an injury in this tie as this could severely impact his team.
