As expected Jose Mourinho rang the changes for the last Champions League group game against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena this evening.
Juan Foyth, Kyle Walker-Peters, Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon all got their first starts under the new Spurs boss while Lucas Moura led the line as the lone forward.
Bayern named a strong side for the game and as expected have dominated proceedings in the first 45 minutes of the game.
While Spurs’ young guns have coped effectively with Bayern’s attacking threat, they were unable to keep them out for long with Kingsley Coman putting the home side ahead on the night within the first 15 minutes.
However, Spurs hit back straight away with Sessegnon grabbing his first goal in a Spurs shirt by firing a bullet past Manuel Nuer’s near post.
Both teams had some decent chances after that but it was Bayern who finally took one courtesy of substitute Thomas Muller and went into the break 2-1 up.
While some Spurs fans on social media were happy with the way the makeshift team had performed in the first 45 minutes others were quite disappointed with the team’s defending.
We’re really missing a focal point, be good to see Parrott get a half.

If anyone wants to hurt Lo Celso, let’s arrange a day, time & place. We’re fighting.

I know he’s not playing CM here but I’m seeing nothing off the ball that suggests Lo Celso could play in a 2 with Ndombele

Spurs Web Opinion
We have looked threatening on the counter with Moura’s and Sessegnon’s pace while both Lo Celso and Eriksen started having a lot of influence on the game towards the end of the half. However, this make shift defence looks incapable of dealing with the quality Bayern have in attack.
