Tottenham Hotspur take a narrow lead into the Champions League quarter final second leg against Man City on Wednesday, but could Tiger Woods provide an omen for Spurs to go all the way and lift the trophy?
Tiger Woods has fought to climb his way back to the top of his sport, against the odds over the last few years, having undergone several back operations.
Woods thought he was done with golf in 2017, but just two years later, proved all his doubters wrong and came back to win the 2019 Masters tournament at Augusta.
Although Woods and Spurs would both be unlikely major honour winners, how else could the golfer prove to be an omen?
Well, Woods hasn’t won a major in 11 years, with 2008 being his last huge competition win.
Tottenham Hotspur also won their last major piece of silverware back in 2008, as they lifted the Carling Cup after beating Chelsea in the final.
Could both waits be over in 2019?
Last time Tiger Woods won a major? 2008.
Last time Spurs won a trophy? 2008.
Last time Watford made the FA Cup Final? 1984.
Last time Tottenham won a European Cup? 1984.
