Why Spurs are firmly back in the title race

Tottenham Hotspur have entered the title race once again, making it a three way fight for the Premier League trophy this season.

Spurs moved up to second in the League today after beating Newcastle 1-0 at Wembley, leapfrogging Man City in the process.

City play at home to Arsenal tomorrow, and Liverpool face a Monday Night Football away trip to West Ham this week.

Spurs made up ground on their rivals in mid week, after they came from behind to beat Watford 2-1 at Wembley.

Meanwhile, City lost 2-1 to Newcastle, and Liverpool dropped points in a 1-1 draw against Leicester.

This means that currently, Spurs are just 4 points behind the League leaders Liverpool, and 1 ahead of Man City in third.

Although Spurs face tough away trips against both title rivals in the run in to the end of the season, this presents a clear opportunity to gain points in the title race.

Two big away wins could see Spurs propel up the table, and who knows, if they can get Kane and Alli back, anything is possible.
