Joleon Lescott and Joe Hart both believe that everything hangs on winning the Europa League for Tottenham Hotspur, with both pundits suggesting that a lot could change at Spurs depending on whether they get their hands on the trophy.
Both Man United and Tottenham Hotspur have had extremely poor seasons so far and they find themselves languishing in 14th and 15th place in the Premier League table respectively at the moment.

The focus of both Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou’s sides will thus fall squarely on the Europa League, with both teams having a big quarterfinal clash coming up this week.
Both sides will play each other in the final in San Mames in Bilbao if they both get there, but pundits feel that one club needs the trophy a lot more than the other does.

Pundits say Europa League win will mean more for Tottenham
Plenty of reports over recent weeks have suggested that Postecoglou needs to win the Europa League to retain his job, with the Australian potentially knowing that his future at the club rests on the competition.
Joleon Lescott believes that things will not change drastically at Old Trafford whether or not the Red Devils get their hands on the trophy, but he feels things that will influence things at N17.
The former Man City man told TNT SPORTS: “Who would need it more? I would say Spurs. Nothing changes at United if they don’t win. Spurs, their manager is changing, potentially. At this stage, bigger things happen if [Spurs win].”
That is an assessment that Joe Hart agreed with, with the 37-year-old claiming that his former club are now on the brink of a change. Hart added: “I think Spurs are right at the end of their tether if they don’t produce in this competition.”
Pundit claims Postecoglou’s statement could come back to haunt him
At the start of the season, Postecoglou confidently pointed out that he always wins trophies in his second season at clubs and expressed his desire to do the same at Spurs.
Since then, when given an opportunity to reflect on his statement, Postecoglou has only doubled down on his trophy comments.
Steven McManaman believes that the Tottenham boss has put himself in a difficult position by making those statements and that it will be thrown back at him if he does not succeed.
The former Liverpool man remarked: “Ange saying he lifts trophies in his second season. That’s like a millstone around his neck.
“The media will never let him forget that. So if it doesn’t happen, there will be wholesale changes at Tottenham. You don’t want it to happen, but that’s what will happen. You can feel it.”
