Tottenham youngster Will Lankshear has spoken about the brilliant campaign he has had for the Under-21s and admitted that he idolises Spurs legend Harry Kane.

Lankshear, who joined the Spurs academy two years ago, has gone from strength to strength over the last 18 months.
The centre-forward is not only considered one of the best young talents in the Hotspur Way academy but also among the best players in his age group across the country.
The 19-year-old has played a key role in Tottenham’s victorious Premier League 2 campaign, having found the back of the net 24 times in as many matches this season (Transfermarkt).
There are certainly shades of Kane with the way that the youngster plays and when asked about that, he told Football.London: “Harry Kane is unbelievable, Haaland as well. I really admire them two. They’re similar to me in ways, but obviously, if I could have a quarter of their career I’d be very happy!”
Tottenham’s Under-21 side have looked destined for greatness right from the start of the season, dominating Premier League 2 from start to finish.
When asked about the team’s stellar campaign, particularly after a disappointing one last time out, Lankshear said: “I think there’s been a mentality switch. From the very first day this year, we’ve been on it and that’s down to the staff.
“They’ve really nailed that into us. We’ve not been complacent and we’ve really enjoyed playing with each other. It’s been such a good group this year and I think that shows on the pitch. It’s been an amazing year for everyone. The boys have worked so hard during this year and it felt just like the result of that. We’re absolutely delighted in that dressing room.”

Will Lankshear wants to play to his strengths at Spurs
The striker was not only the standout performer for Wayne Burnett’s men but was also adjudged the best in his age group, being handed the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award last week.
Lankshear credits his success to keeping things simple and trying to play to his strengths.
He added: “I’ve just tried to enjoy my football. I love scoring goals. I work really hard in training and we do lots of finishing. The staff put on lots of finishing sessions. I just try to work on that and get myself into the box because that’s the main thing.
“The ball is going to come because of the players we’ve got and the quality we have in this team. The ball is always going to be there for me. I just need to do my job which is to put the ball in the back of the net.”

Lankshear is now on a huge upward curve and Tottenham would be hoping that it continues over the next couple of years. The striker certainly seems hungry to achieve more and appears to have some fire in his belly, which is great news.
