William Gallas has the rare distinction of having played for three of London’s biggest clubs in Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
The former Premier League winner has confidently asserted that the league title is London bound this season, with Spurs and Chelsea set to battle for it.
Despite Tottenham moving to the top of the standings with their 2-0 win over Manchester City on Saturday, some pundits have still designated Liverpool as the favourites.
However, Tottenham and Chelsea are certainly both in the conversation as things stand, with both teams set to face off in all-important London derby on Sunday.
Gallas, who played his fair share of London derbies during his career, admitted that he is excited about next weekend’s clash but insisted the loss of Toby Alderweireld will be a major blow for Spurs.
The former France international also joked that the one thing we know for sure is that Arsenal will not be winning the league.
He took to Instagram to post a video of Mourinho celebrating with his players after Tottenham’s win on Saturday, with the caption: “This result confirms what I said a few weeks ago. It’s a London team which will win the Premier League this year.
“After seeing Chelsea Arsenal and Tottenham played, I already know that it won’t be Arsenal who will win the Premier League.
“I look forward to next weekend to see Chelsea against Tottenham.
“I already regret the injury of Alderweireld, it’s the boss of Tottenham’defencese. Tottenham will be decreased a bit but you know what it’s still a big London derby and Mourinho is Back to Stamford bridge. #Chelsea #Tottenham.”
