Ramon Vega has urged Harry Kane to believe he will move past his rut sooner rather than later, in response to an article suggesting this season might be the striker’s toughest at Spurs so far.
As soon as it became evident that Kane would not leave Tottenham this summer, Spurs fans would have been hoping to see the striker hit the ground running and continue from where he left off last season.
However, the England captain has looked lacklustre in the games so far and is yet to score a single Premier League goal this season.
The 28-year-old came in for scathing criticism for his display in the 3-0 loss to Chelsea on Sunday, with some pundits questioning his poor body language.
The Telegraph’s Jason Burt has suggested that this season might be a hard one for Kane to endure and that the Tottenham man would be looking at the likes of Romelu Lukaku with envy.
Responding to the article, Vega insisted that the striker has no reason to be envious of anyone.
Here’s what the former Tottenham defender tweeted:
@HKane you don’t need do be envy to others you are what you do,not what you say you’ll do. You play for a great club like @SpursOfficial it’s a phase you and the team going through, you will come out the other end with Glory.Believe in team spirit again and you will score again. https://t.co/cqT44STGNZ

Spurs Web Opinion
Kane has repeatedly proved doubters wrong over his career. So, I fully expect him to get out of this rut quickly. As soon as he scores one or two, the floodgates will likely open as they have in past seasons.
