Wolves legend admits he would love to see club sign Spurs player

Wolves legend, Steve Bull, has claimed that Moussa Sissoko would be a very good acquisition for his former club.

Although Sissoko made a bright start to last season, being a fixture in the starting eleven for the first few months, the midfielder found himself struggling for minutes towards the end of the campaign.

Reports indicate that the Frenchman is one of the players that Tottenham will look to cash in on this summer.

Over recent weeks, it has also emerged that the former Newcastle man is on Napoli’s radar.

With Tottenham continuing to be linked with moves for central midfielders and with Oliver Skipp returning after impressing during his loan spell at Norwich, the 31-year-old does appear to be surplus to requirements at the North London club.

Bull admitted that he would love to see Wolves secure the Tottenham star’s services if he becomes available.

The former Wolves striker told This is Futbol: “He’s a quality player and I’m not sure why Newcastle didn’t keep him if he’s a good player, but I would certainly take him all day long.”

Sissoko has shown over the course of his Spurs career that he is a fighter, who is capable of coming back from nowhere to force himself into the manager’s plans.

The fact that the likes of Pochettino, Mourinho and Deschamps all valued him tells you that despite all the flak his below-par technical quality, he does bring a lot to the table.

However, this seems like the right time to cash in on the midfielder as his value is going to depreciate considerably if and when he loses his physical edge over the next few years.
