Graham Roberts has singled out Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski for praise following their performances in Tottenham’s 4-3 win over Leeds on Saturday.
Spurs desperately needed a win ahead of the mid-season break after suffering back-to-back losses at home in the Premier League to Newcastle United and Liverpool.
They did manage to sign off with a victory but the game was anything but straightforward, with Jesse Marsch’s men taking the lead on three separate occasions.
However, the Lilywhites battled back to level the game each time, with a quickfire Bentancur brace in the dying stages of the game giving the home side all three points.
The brace took the 25-year-old goal tally up to five in all competitions so far this season (Transfermarkt), while Kulusevski also put in an extremely impressive display on his return to the starting eleven, with the Swede setting up the Uruguayan’s late winner.
Roberts praised the former Juventus duo and underlined the importance of yesterday’s win, given the schedule Conte’s men have had to cope with over recent weeks.
Here is what the Spurs legend said on Twitter after Tottenham’s 4-3 win:
Rodrigo Bentancur and Kulu wonderful players and @HKane now 5 goals away from the wonderful Jimmy greaves incredible record ! Fantastic win after the hardest October game schedule ever! COYS

Spurs Web Opinion
It is certainly no coincidence that our form picked up in the second half of last season after Kulusevski’s arrival and that our results have been sub-par over the last month and a half when the Swede has been unavailable.
One can argue that the 22-year-old has now become even more important to Tottenham than Son due to his ability to consistently beat players and pick out the right passing option.
